Crews will be hard at work on the campus over the break, and students and staff will see some changes when they return to campus in January.

• The existing commons and restrooms will begin demolition. They will be temporarily placed in the old weight/locker room building, which will be modified for this use.
• House A and the Administration building have been demolished. We will begin demolition of the existing commons over winter break to make way for the construction of the new commons and classroom building.
• Students will have some new routes to get used to. The new routes will take students through a new passageway constructed at the back side of the theater and through the gym from the classrooms to the temporary commons and new health and fitness areas. Staff will be available to help students get used to these new routes when we return after break.
• We have worked with the modernization team to maintain access to the theater during construction, so our productions and other events in the theater will continue to be held on the River Ridge campus during modernization.
• Finally, a reminder that due to the redesign and construction of the kitchen, meals will be on a modified menu until construction is complete. The online interactive menu will have the latest information on what is being served.

As always, safety and continued learning are our top priorities. In November, we worked with a consultant on a comprehensive review of campus access for those with disabilities to make sure we are meeting all ADA standards of accessibility throughout the modernization project.
